Description

The long trajectory of human development also suggests that evolution has not come to an end. Rather, it appears to have entered successive stages. In its earliest phase, evolution reshaped human DNA through vast natural processes spanning millions of years, ultimately producing modern humans, Homo sapiens. In the second stage, beginning with the Cognitive and Agricultural Revolutions, evolution gradually transformed into a form of cultural revolution. The driving force of human change was no longer biological mutation, but the human capacity to construct and manipulate shared realities.   Today, humanity may be entering a third stage of evolution, one that could introduce an entirely new phenomenon: the replication of reality. In this emerging phase, Sapiens may gradually move beyond dependence on purely intersubjective systems toward forms of replicated or simulated realities, such as digital and virtual worlds. Whether consciously recognized or not, the history of Sapiens reveals a long pattern of transformation that continues to unfold.   If this trajectory persists, the next chapter of human civilization may not simply involve constructing new institutions, but replicating reality itself. Will such replicated realities become the defining feature of future human civilization? What forces will shape this transformation? And will this transition unfold with the same historical momentum that once drove biological evolution and later cultural revolutions?
