Vocational education is expected to respond to technological change, support regional development, and prepare graduates for work that is meaningful, adaptable, and productive. Yet employment rates alone cannot show whether programmes develop real capability, achieve appropriate job match, or provide high-quality work-based learning. This book offers an integrated, evidence-informed framework for strengthening vocational and practice-oriented higher education in Thailand. Focusing on the 23 Institutes of Vocational Education under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, it connects future readiness, educational quality, competency-based curricula, authentic assessment, industry partnership, work-based learning, employability, job match, and job quality.   Drawing on Thai legislation and standards, international policy frameworks, and peer-reviewed research, the book explains how institutions can translate labour-market intelligence into curriculum renewal; design workplace learning that protects rights, safety, and educational value; develop teachers and workplace trainers; use graduate evidence responsibly; and build quality assurance that follows the chain from purpose and design to practice, outcomes, and improvement.   The volume culminates in a six-domain quality-assurance framework and a staged implementation agenda for institutional leaders, programme teams, employers, policymakers, and external assessors. Rather than offering another compliance checklist, it provides a practical scholarly guide for building vocational education that is responsive to change, grounded in authentic practice, and committed to fairness, adaptability, and public value.
