I firmly believe that Morocco, as an emerging country, is not in a race with any global power. It simply does not have the time for that. Its priority should be to build, nurture, and follow its own development path, focusing on becoming the best version of itself by leveraging its most valuable asset: its human capital. But how can this be achieved? More than ever in Morocco’s history, investing in people is both essential and urgent. Even the most sophisticated development policies will have limited impact without the full commitment and participation of citizens. Without a serious and sustained effort to develop and value human resources—in schools, universities, businesses, and public institutions—the competitive advantages that Morocco enjoys today may gradually erode in the future. Human Resource professionals and HR leaders are fully aware of the strategic importance of their function.
