Hafid

Hafid Aourag is a Professor of Physics at the University of Science and Technology of Oran – Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO-MB), Algeria. He has spent his career in computational materials science, working on first-principles (DFT) calculations, data mining and the prediction of new materials. He is an early contributor to the "materials genome" approach: his paper The Materials Genome Project (AIP Conference Proceedings, 2008) came out three years before the United States launched its Materials Genome.
