Technology has significantly altered our ways of communicating. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the uptake of digital communication, enabling organizations to interact with their environments independent of time, distance, or proximity. The objective of this qualitative study was to understand the effective communication strategies that organizations should adopt to secure sustained support and engagement from increasing numbers of participants in virtual meetings. Organizations that communicate consistently, transparently, clearly, and authentically are perceived by leaders and employees as exemplifying effective communication that builds trust and engagement. These themes are supported by participant feedback and interaction as they navigate today’s virtual environment.
