Mahendra Jagath

K G. MAHENDRA JAGATH. (Justice of peace to the whole Island) 

I am an Assistant Director at Disaster Management Center (DMC) in Sri Lanka. I being served there from 2011 up to now. Previously I worked at Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and Several Local NGOs for Disaster Management projects.
I graduated from the University of Colombo (B.A. sp. INR) specialized in International Relations, Then after Qualified for Post graduated Diploma specialized in Disaster Management (Pg.Dip. in DM) at the University of Peradeniya, following successfully completed a Master of MRDP (Master of Regional Development & Planning) (M.A. in MRDP) at the University of Colombo.
My interest and Specialized area is displacement, humanitarian response and settlements. I have published several articles/papers on this particular area. Currently I am reading for a Ph.D. in Displacement Management.
