Joxerramon Bengoetxea
Joxerramon Bengoetxea studied law and philosophy. obtained his Ph D under the guidance of Neil MacCormick at Edinburgh University. The result was The Legal Reasoning of the European Court of Justice (OUP 1993). Bengoetxea is professor of Jurisprudence at University of the Basque Country where he was elected Principal (Rector) in 2025. Bengoetxea worked at the Court of Justice the EU as legal clerk to Judge David Edward, and as deputy minister for labour at the Basque Government.
