Amit Anand is an independent historian and researcher whose work focuses on the interdisciplinary way of approaching Early Medieval South Asia, specially dealing with identity formation, contact among societies and comparative understanding of history. He holds an M.A. in History from Magadh University, Bodhgaya. His work explores how geography, environment, ideology, and human conscience has shaped history over the ages.
