This book provides an inventory, oral historical records, philosophical stance and socio-cultural significance of lesser-known community Mposuban in the ‘Emintsimadze (homeland)’ of Borbor Mfantsefo. Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions are promoted and preserved through various artistic expressions, which include traditional community monuments. These monuments serve as an identity, historical record, and spiritual defensive armour. Such traditional monuments include Mposuban (plural for ‘Posuban’) among Mfantsefo. Unfortunately, Some Mposuban have not been given the deserved reverence. Even in the homeland of Mfantsefo, most indigenes are ignorant of the existence and socio-cultural significance of some community Mposuban there, hence accounting to lack of veneration; an act which has dire consequences on the community. This is because, Mposuban serves as the ‘soul’ of every Fantse town.
