Hongda Cui is a doctoral researcher at GTSOLIFK in Moscow, Russia. His academic interests include boxing, sport psychology,coach–athlete relationships,and athlete welfare. His work explores how communication, interpersonal support, and the social environment of sport shape athletes’ experiences of training and competition. In In the Corner, he brings these interests together to examine trust, coaching authority, and decision-making under pressure, connecting scholarly perspectives with practice.
